Daily Reflection

John 3:27-30

27 John answered, “A man can get only what God gives him. 28 You yourselves heard me say, ‘I am not the Christ, but I am the one sent to prepare the way for him.’ 29 The bride belongs only to the bridegroom. But the friend who helps the bridegroom stands by and listens to him. He is thrilled that he gets to hear the bridegroom’s voice. In the same way, I am really happy. 30 He must become greater, and I must become less important.

As we travel down the road of life on earth, our bodies become less, weaker physically. I believe this gives our spiritual self the gift of mature understanding of the reckoning of eternity with God. The reality that only the GOOD we do through sacrificial love remains to cheer on and inspire those future generations to follow the Way, the Truth, and the Life Jesus demonstrated so poignantly through His earthly journey to eternity. Today and each earthly day God gives us, we should open the eyes of our hearts to our Lord Jesus so we can hear, speak, see, and be like you Dear Lord for as You increase in us our selfish selves wither away until only YOUR Spirit remains. This is our final destination. We shall be joining as One Christ in Eternity, forever. Amen.
